RPSL LICENSE Recruitment and Placement Services License (RPSL) is issued by the Directorate General of Shipping (Government of India) as per the Indian Merchant Shipping Act under the rule of RPS. This Act and license provide the process, mechanism, and guidance for the protection and security of native (Indian) seafarers (officers, trainees, ratings and petty officers) designated on foreign or Indian Flag Vessels. It also helps in safeguarding the restoration and repatriation of seafarers during other emergencies such as when shipowner fails to manage the repatriating seafarers to the native Indian port. There are several RPS (Recruitment and Placement Service) Providers who need to do registration for obtaining RPS License. These companies require renewing their license after expiry date/year.
